Safety Management begins before an operator is allowed behind the wheel. Sunco's hiring policy requires safety criterion over and above the minimum standards prescribed by federal regulations. All new operators must attend an orientation program that addresses defensive driving techniques, hours of service specifications, and personal safety skills. On-going training is provided for both driving and management personnel to ensure that Sunco meets or exceeds the requirements of new or changed government regulations.
