2290’S
As you pay your Form 2290, please remember to send a copy to Candice Hume in Recruiting once you have the form stamped with the date paid.

MCLANE PARKING RESTRICTIONS
As of November 14, 2011 there will be NO parking on the side streets adjacent to Mclane-Suneast in Kissimmee, FL. There is a fine of $200.00 for the first offense and gradually increases for each repeated offense. Please try to find a place near by that is secure and legal to park before your appointment.

LAKELAND DRIVERS LOUNGE
There are now NO PETS ALLOWED in the driver’s lounge in Lakeland. Also, please pay attention to which bathroom you are entering as we do have separate women’s and men’s rooms. Women have complained of men using the ladies restroom while ladies are using the shower. Thanks for your cooperation in this matter.

HOLIDAY TIME
As the Holidays approach us, please let your fleet manager know if you plan to take time off to be with your loved ones. There will also be more law enforcement out on the roads, so as a reminder please make sure you are prepared and allowing yourself enough time to get to your destination with the holiday traffic.

THEFT DURING HOLIDAYS
Just another reminder that cargo thieves do not take a holiday! They use holidays to take advantage of those who do take holidays off and know equipment will be parked for extended periods of time. Several things to keep in mind: (1) Protect our customers freight! (2) Cargo thieves may want to steal a contractor’s power unit for use in stealing someone else’s trailer. (3) Protect our trailers as well. Over the last few years we have had empty trailers stolen. Just because the trailer is empty does not mean it may not be a target.

IFTAS
Sunco is in the process of ordering the new IFTA stickers for 2012. Please be on the look out for these coming in the mail to you.

1099’S
Form 1099 will be mailed mid to late January. Please make sure that we have current up to date information on file to avoid delays. Now is also a good time to update emergency phone numbers on file for you.

UNAUTHORIZED USE OF SUNCO TRAILERS
Make sure you have permission to take a Sunco Trailer. Using a trailer without permission is a company violation and could end with termination of contract. Only take a trailer under the direction of dispatch. To avoid mistakes, make sure you are verifying the trailer number with dispatch when you pick it up.

QUALIFICATION AND ORIENTATION SCHEDULE
Qualification and leasing can be completed at any Sunco terminal location -- ATLANTA, CHICAGO, DALLAS, or LAKELAND. Once qualified and leased, you will attend a one-day orientation at our company headquarters in Lakeland, Florida.

Thursdays 8:00 am until 5:00 pm

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
• Prefer 10 years or newer tractor
• Cellular phone required
• Tractor weight under 19,000 lbs.
• Minimum 1 YEAR OTR verifiable experience or 100,000 miles in
last 5 years.
• Minimum 22 years of age.
• Prefer 6 MONTHS refrigerated experience.
• No more than: 2 moving violations in last 12 months -
3 moving violations in last 24 months - 5 moving violations in last
36 months
• No RECKLESS driving - OPEN CONTAINER in last 3 years.
• No record of 2 SERIOUS TRAFFIC VIOLATIONS defined by Federal Hwy
Admn last 2 years.
• No DUI in last 5 years.
• No preventable SINGLE VEHICLE TURNOVER accidents in last 2 years.
• No preventable accident resulting in FATALITY.
• No record of more than 2 chargeable accidents in last 2 years.
• No DRUG / ALCOHOL TEST refusal.
• No rear-end accident involving injury in last 3 years.
